Cutting The Lace

The final step before wearing your new hair, where everything comes together.

  • Take Your Time — Precision Over Speed: This is not a step to rush. Always leave more lace than you think you need. You can refine and trim more, but once lace is removed, it cannot be replaced. A good rule is to keep at-least 1/4 inch of lace past the hairline.

  • Follow The Natural Hairline: Place your wig on your head and align it where it needs to be..

  • Avoid Cutting In A Straight Line: Instead, use small, soft, irregular snips to mimic the subtle variations of a real hairline. Use Sharp Scissors Or Pinking Shears and cut in a wavy line. Straight lines are more noticeable

  • Cut in Sections for Control: Start at one side and move gradually across. This allows you to stay consistent and avoid over-cutting. Pause often, check your progress, and adjust as needed.
